The SAM Report

Issue 3.4

April, 2009

Dear Friend,

LAMP2009 was a wonderful opportunity for us to visit with colleagues and friends old and new, exchange ideas, and grow.

For those of you who stopped by our booth, thank you for your visit. We look forward to LAMP each year to gain your feedback on how we can better serve our unique and incredible industry that “gives unconditionally.”

Even with LAMP over, we hope you’ll continue to provide comments and ideas to our team throughout the year.

Stay Inspired,

Mickey Straub, President

Activity Management

In last month’s eScoreBoard Tips & Tricks section, we discussed where to find the definitions of the activity and production categories on eScoreBoard. Similarly, the Productivity Planner comes with a
Getting Started Guide, which lists the category definitions.

 training

Even with the definitions
available in the online resources and guides, there may still be confusion on
the actual meaning of the
categories for the producers and managers alike.

When we implement
eScoreBoard with the managers and producers, we focus on recording of the activity data that is

A-Accurate
R- Reliable
T- Timely

Knowing the category definitions will help assure that the activity data is both accurate and reliable.

Mickey’s Corner

WritingThis month’s lesson from the field was worth waiting for.

It happened at the 2009 LAMP Conference held in Atlanta, which is the largest international event of the year.

Bucking the trends, this year’s conference had record attendance and was the best one we ever attended.

Fittingly, this year’s theme was “Lead Your Team to Growth“.

Of course, there were big name speakers - like Mary Lou Retton, Norm Levine and Joe Jordan - on the big stage at the general sessions and iconic industry leaders conducting some incredible workshops. But I found additional learning opportunities in speaking with our colleagues.
