At Sales Activity Management, our team is our most valuable resource and the main reason for our success.

Mickey Straub, President and Founder of Sales Activity Management, Inc. (SAM), started his career as an agent for 16 years; two as a federal agent and 14 as an insurance agent.

Mickey launched SAM in 1995 to help ensure sales professionals get the right tools and leadership they need to help them succeed. He felt then, as he does now, that low producer performance and high turnover is expensive financially and emotionally. SAM grew 50% annually for the first decade and now has more than 55,000 clients, with offices in Chicago and Philadelphia, and continues to grow at a rapid pace.

Mickey has a great passion for writing and speaking and is a father, husband, businessman, lector, usher, election judge, community organizer, patriot, industry contributor and was recently elected to be a NAIFA-Chicago Board Member.

Paul Lee is Vice President of Sales responsible for driving the day-to-day product sales and sales operational areas. Since joining Sales Activity Management, he has focused on his committed to SAM's mission of helping sales professional succeed and managers to lead by providing the most effective activity management solutions available anywhere. Prior to joining SAM, Paul spent the fifteen years in sales and management across the enterprise software and financial service industry.

Paul holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration and Sports Management Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio. He also held several positions within the Phi Theta Pi business fraternity while at Tiffin. Paul resides in Schererville, Indiana with his wife of 10 years, Tracy, and their two children Isabella and Jacob.

Tim Straub, the Vice President of Technology, joined SAM in 2002 with more than seven years of technological and industry expertise. Through his commitment to inspire clients with secure and innovative product lines, Tim is responsible for the strategic planning and realization of the eScoreBoard, eRecruitBoard, and eRewardBoard tools. Tim contributes extensive experience across the business, marketing, and IT consulting spectrum from his work with The Vanguard Group and Andersen.

Tim received his Masters in Business Administration from Villanova University with a concentration in IT after receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania with a double major in business and economics. Tim is an avid runner, cyclist, and a tri-athlete, and he competes in races as short as a 5k and as long as an Ironman triathlon.

Maris A. Haster, CLU, FLMI, joined Sales Activity Management, Inc. (SAM), in October 2008 as Vice President, Client Development. Her responsibilities include building new and existing client relationships, implementation and consulting services as well as assisting in SAM tools, resources and training curriculum development. In collaboration with the SAM team, Maris provides services for national enterprise accounts, field level firms, and independent agents.

Maris comes to SAM after 30 years with Kansas City Life Insurance Company. She developed and implemented manager and producer sales, marketing and training programs. Her industry involvement through GAMA, LIMRA, NAIFA, SFSP and LIFE has enhanced her career and networking reputation. Maris relates that her total passion is realizing a prosperous financial services industry through the growth of agency leaders and new producers. She plans to accomplish this by providing inspiration, a premier sales activity management program, and exemplary service.

Maris lives in Kansas City, MO with her husband, Joe, a 30 year life insurance producer, and has two grown daughters.
